Internet scams
Citizens have been getting emails from someone posing as Bank of America, claiming failed login attempts and asking you to reconfirm your account information. Don’t give out your account information, driver’s license number or Social Security number. A credit card company should never email you for your account information.
Severe weather
Warning sirens are located all around Ross County. When they sound, take them seriously. Sirens are tested on the 1st day of every month at 12:00 p.m.
Snow emergency levels
Level 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow, and may be icy. Drive carefully.
Level 2: Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.
Level 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.
